SkimBash 2010
SkimBash 2010, sponsored by Mad Hatter and presented by Skim City and Jersey Shore Skim Camp, is the premiere Pro/Am skimboarding contest on the Jersey shore. Skimboarders of all ages, from beginners to professionals, gather for this annual action-packed 2-day event to show off their skills, and compete for prizes and cash
WHEN:
The 7th annual SkimBash takes place Saturday and Sunday, September 11-12, 2010. The contest runs for two days, with preliminary heats on Saturday; and semi-finals, finals on Sunday.
Registration begins Saturday at 8:00 a.m., contest will end around 5 p.m. both days. Riders must be prepared to spend the entire day at the beach.
WHERE:
Sea Bright, New Jersey, at the Sea Bright Municipal Beach (behind Borough Hall).
COST TO COMPETE:
Amateur entry fee: $25. Includes event t-shirt, breakfast & lunch, giveaways. Prizes awarded to first, second, and third place finishers in all divisions. Pro entry fee: $75. Pro division is open to anyone, includes t-shirt, breakfast & lunch, giveaways. Pros skim for a cash purse.

Celebrate the beginning of fall by hopping
aboard The Sea Bright Business Alliance’s
Taste of Sea Bright Trolley Hop
on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, from Noon. to
5:30 p.m., rain or shine.

A trolley and buses will loop a course
through Sea Bright to drop you off and pick you
up at each stop. Get your passport stamped
at each stop; if you complete the course you
are eligible to enter the prize drawing valued
at $600. The first drawn completed passport
receives $100 worth of Sea Bright Sand Dollars
- which are gift certificates that can be redeemed
at any business in Sea Bright that is a member
of the SBBA. The second drawn receives $200,
and the third drawn receives $300.
The ticket cost is only $40 and includes
your admission bracelet; map/passport; all food,
drinks, and cocktails; and unlimited trolley/bus
rides throughout the event. You’ll also get a
complimentary SBBA backpack to carry all the
goodies you’ll pick up at stops along the map.
The SBBA sells only 1,000 tickets to this
very popular event. Please purchase tickets for
your group as soon as possible, as this event
always sells out quickly. Tickets go on sale September
1, and you can purchase them at any stop on the
map.
